Essaouira Collection

This collection is named for the gorgeous Moroccan coastal city of Essaouria with its whitewashed houses, blue waters and golden sands. Inspired by traditional Moroccan designs, this collection features patterns and colors with a strong ethnic feel, reminiscent of Moroccan architecture, textiles and ceramics.

Subtle imperfections normally found in hand-knotted rugs are incorporated into these designs, making them look old and hand-crafted. Rugs created from these designs are usually woven using a combination of fibers, suggesting the different landscapes and textures of Morocco – from the desert to the mountains to traditional earthen houses.
